After a great day in Lisbon, we were feeling refreshed and happy and really looking forward to our show in the Alhambra Theatre. We just love it here, lots of comfy seats, fabulous lights, a huge stage and a great team! We knew this evening was going to be fantastic.
Following a vocal warm up, we headed down to the theatre during the afternoon for set up and soundcheck. We’d been liaising with the team at the theatre and had sent though stage plans, lighting cues and running orders so they knew what was happening and when. Sound-check went really well and we were all really pleased with our sound.
Before we knew it, it was back to our rooms to get changed and warm up for the show.
The theatre was packed! I don’t think I saw one single available seat! Thank you to everyone who took the time to send in these great photos of us!
The stage looked awesome, we just love our name in lights!
There was such a great energy on stage. I just love performing with these guys. They really are the best. We get on with each other so well, it feels like a lovely family, and I look forward to every time I get to see these guys! I think our friendships really shine through on stage too.
The photos below were taken by our volunteers Olivia and Sophie. Thank you!
Special guest Colin joined us on stage for a number.
And in our second show, Anette joined us on stage, playing guitar and showing us some moves!
Today was a special day, not only because we were performing in one of our favourite theatres again, but because it was drummer Simon Small‘s birthday! Actually today! The whole crowd sang happy birthday to him which was lovely.
We crammed so many brilliant songs from the 1960s into our two shows. We finished our set and left the stage, but from the wings we could hear you all shouting for more, so we came out for an encore!
At the end of the show we invited the crowd up to dance, and boy they did! I took this great shot of the full house in action!
Thank you to everyone who came to watch up, thank you meeting and chatting to us after the show, we enjoying speaking to every single one of you! Thank you to everyone who took and sent us photos! And thank you to you everyone for singing happy birthday to Simon!
