Today is pretty special, we’re off to the British Medical Association in Tavistock Square, London for the wedding of the very gorgeous Natalie & Rhys. Natalie & Rhys spotted us at the very brilliant wedding of Cat & Phil, remember that? Over a year ago, but still fresh in our minds. We did a lot of Zeppelin that night, which went down a storm!
We don’t often head to the big smoke as we’re performing lots over seas and in our home county of Wiltshire as well as having lots of bookings throughout the UK. We were excited. The feeling was palpable. Zoots Drummer Andy lives in the big smoke and told us it would be OK as we navigated our way through the labyrinth of little roads and lots of traffic. … Continue Reading
We met with Kelly and Dan at the Marriott Hotel early December; we loved them immediately! They were super nice, very funny and we got on really well. We chatted over coffee about plans for their wedding; what songs they may like, first dances and the itinerary for the night. Dan & Kelly met at Swindon Town Football club, and the rest is history. They found ‘The Zoots‘ following a recommendation from Glenn and Colin aka: Your Digital Memories (they are totes awesome photographers, you should book them). Your Digital Memories had spotted us performing at Jessica and James Arthurs wedding at Bowood House in May 2014, what a night that was! To be recommended by a fellow supplier is just wonderful. Thank you! After checking out our website and getting in touch with us, Kelly & dan decided to book us for their big day! … Continue Reading
Saturday got off to a great start. Lead Guitarist Ben and Bass player Stuart stayed over a Zoots HQ following our gig the night before in Brean with our other group Jamie & The First Class. We started the day off with a tasty cooked breakfast before being joined by drummer Master East and hitting the road, bound for Sussex to perform at the wedding of Juliette & Nicolas. We met them a few weeks previously to talk weddings. Read all about it here. The journey was good, the weather was nice and we made good time. We stopped on the way to make a few phone calls and take some selfies. … Continue Reading
Last weekend was pretty busy! It began on Friday in Brean where we performed with our ‘sister act’, Jamie and the First Class. Afterwards we ventured North to the Lake District to perform at a very lovely wedding for James and Abbie, read the blog about it here.
Jen got in touch back in October to see if we were available to be her party band for the night. The party sounded fabulous and we were thrilled to be asked! We met with Jen and her husband Richard at Bowood House a few weeks before the bash to run through their song choices and where we would be setting up. We like to do this is we can as its always good to put faces to names and run through the plan for the evening! They were just lovely, and the party sounded brilliant. They had chosen some great songs for the evening, La Bamba, Hound Dog, Daydream Believer, Twist & Shout, Moves Like Jagger and loads more! We were so excited to be performing them. … Continue Reading
On Friday 4th April 2014 we ( The Zoots ) performed at The Royal Thames Yacht Club Young Members Masquerade Ball.
It was a truly awesome night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was our second performance at the venue in Knightsbridge following the success of the Carribean themed ball in 2013. This year was even better performance and the crowd were totally awesome! It was a brilliant performance by the band and we look forward to going back again in 2015. … Continue Reading

In March 2012, two years ago, The Zoots were chosen to perform at The Aldermore Conference at the Hilton in Manchester. It was a fantastic event with a British theme. We shared the stage with a London phone box and a London Taxi. There was also a victorian style fair in the foyer. The crowd were totally awesome, they danced all night and sang a long to every word! The Hilton in Manchester (also known as Beetham Tower) is the ninth tallest building in England and the tallest building in the UK outside London (as of 2014). It has 47 floors and on the 23rd floor lives ‘Could 23’ a very trendy bar which the band checked out in the break. The building creates its own hum which is believed to be the note of B (below middle C). The views from the Hilton are stunning, you can see the see of Coronation Street as well as The Blackpool Tower and Liverpool Cathedral. Beetham Tower cost £150 million to construct and is one of the most unique modern buildings The Zoots have performed in.
