The Zoots have been soooooo busy this year and have been away so much its been tough to keep up to date with all our news. We had a fantastic November and got to tour some fantastic places; Turkey, Croatia, Portugal, Italy and a brief trip to the Azores. We have some exciting times ahead, in December we are going to the UAE and Oman in the Middle East aswell as Holland, Belgium, Germany and France. To cap it all off we have a show in Cuba on New Years Eve!! Then to Jamaica early January! Lucky us!
Below is a picture of us being the first to arrive at T2 at about 4.00 am on a cold November morning on our way to Turkey. Travelling to all these warmer places makes winter so much better!

Way back when The Zoots performed at The Alhambra theatre we met the lovely Woodley family after the show. Many months later little did we know, Alison Woodley was planning and hosting events to raise money for the NesT charity. Alison’s aim was to raise £2,000 for eight year old Daniel Bull who she looks after at Little Pickles Playhouse. Daniel suffers from Nephrotic Syndrome, the condition (NS) affects approx 10,000 people in the UK, majority are children, with no known cause or cure. The current treatment is non-specif, with many potentially life-threatening complications. NeST funds Bristol Children’s Hospital in researching NS to find a cure.
Alison contacted The Zoots to see if we were available to entertain the guests at the charity fundraiser at Little Hadham Village Hall. We were honoured to be asked and jumped at the chance to be involved.
Friday the 23rd of May 2014 had been in our diary for well over a year. I can remember the first time I spoke to the lovely bride Jess, she called us waaaaaay back in 2013 to see if we were available to perform at her wedding at Bowood House! She’d spotted our Zoots advert in Bride magazine and couldn’t wait to call us. We said yes and arranged to meet up with her to discuss the details and the running order of the day. Jess was even more lovely when we met her and her and he mum Juliette in person, it was great to put face to names!
And doesn’t time fly! We arrived at Bowood House feeling fresh and excited. It was a nice day, slightly overcast, but looked to be brightening up! We arrived a little early so waited until the guests had sat down before we began loading in. While we were waiting we saw the Owl who was used to deliver Jess and James’ rings during the wedding reception. A real owl! Wow. It was great. Photographer Glenn from ‘Your Digitial Memories‘ was there and he showed us a great shot of Jess and James’ with the owl. … Continue Reading
Saturday got off to a great start. Lead Guitarist Ben and Bass player Stuart stayed over a Zoots HQ following our gig the night before in Brean with our other group Jamie & The First Class. We started the day off with a tasty cooked breakfast before being joined by drummer Master East and hitting the road, bound for Sussex to perform at the wedding of Juliette & Nicolas. We met them a few weeks previously to talk weddings. Read all about it here. The journey was good, the weather was nice and we made good time. We stopped on the way to make a few phone calls and take some selfies. … Continue Reading
On Friday 4th April 2014 we ( The Zoots ) performed at The Royal Thames Yacht Club Young Members Masquerade Ball.
It was a truly awesome night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was our second performance at the venue in Knightsbridge following the success of the Carribean themed ball in 2013. This year was even better performance and the crowd were totally awesome! It was a brilliant performance by the band and we look forward to going back again in 2015. … Continue Reading

In March 2012, two years ago, The Zoots were chosen to perform at The Aldermore Conference at the Hilton in Manchester. It was a fantastic event with a British theme. We shared the stage with a London phone box and a London Taxi. There was also a victorian style fair in the foyer. The crowd were totally awesome, they danced all night and sang a long to every word! The Hilton in Manchester (also known as Beetham Tower) is the ninth tallest building in England and the tallest building in the UK outside London (as of 2014). It has 47 floors and on the 23rd floor lives ‘Could 23’ a very trendy bar which the band checked out in the break. The building creates its own hum which is believed to be the note of B (below middle C). The views from the Hilton are stunning, you can see the see of Coronation Street as well as The Blackpool Tower and Liverpool Cathedral. Beetham Tower cost £150 million to construct and is one of the most unique modern buildings The Zoots have performed in.
