We were delighted to performing at Lakeside Holiday Village on Hayling Island, after a long week travelling and nearly 24 hours in the van, we were pleased not be going to far from home (Only two hours away!). It was our second show at Lakeside since performing back in 2016.It was going to be a special show as tonight my Auntie Doreen and Auntie June were going to be in the audience. They missed our show at Norden Farm so they booked a holiday break at Warners Lakeside just to see us play. We had better be good!
We have been totally overwhelmed by the support we have had from people who have seen us performing on Royal Caribbean or Saga ships who come to see us. It is such an honour that people book a holiday just so they can come to see us play! I was a little bit nervous before the show as my Auntie Doreen & Auntie June were in the audience. We met up just before & had a quick chat and met the rest of their friends on their table. All my Aunties table neighbours knew all about us, it was brilliant! They had been singing our praises for 2 days!
The response of the audience was amazing, it really feels like we are creating a great buzz about the show. As I walked round the crowd I could feel the fantastic atmosphere in the air.
I managed to grab a quick photo opportunity with my Auntie Doreen and Auntie June on the dance floor. I was so pleased the show was going so well! Everyone kept looking round and asking my Aunties how they knew us! It was a wonderful moment and delighted everyone was having a great time.
By this point in the show we had everyone up on the dance floor and everyone was shouting for more every time we stopped. We enjoyed racing through a dance medley including a song by my Auntie Doreen’s favourite Cliff Richard. We then kept the floor packed with some more fab 60s dance tunes including Saw her standing there by The Beatles, Hippy Shake by The Swinging Blue Jeans and Surfin USA by The Beach Boys
What a wonderful show it was, there was such a brilliant feeling in the room and so many people commented on how much they enjoyed it. It was so nice to spend some time with both my Aunties as I don’t get to see them very often.
Thank you so much to all the fantastic and hard working entertainment staff at Warners and to The Zoots team for working hard.
