Foxhills Golf Club and Hotel Resort is located in OttershawSurrey with very close links to London and the club was officially founded in 1975. It has a rich history since the Middle Ages it was owned by Chertsey Abbey and the land became part of the Botleys Park estate towards the end of the 17th century. The mercurial politician Charles James Fox came to live in the area in the 1780s with his mistress. Fox sought to restore his body and spirit in the peace of his country estate and company of his neighbour and friend Sir Joseph Mawbey at Botley Park. This was the venue chosen by Rachael and Adrian for their wedding and we were honoured to be chosen as their wedding band for the big day.

It was a lovely day for a wedding in amazing surroundings and the sun was out!

We arrived just as the newly weds Rachel and Adrian were arriving at the main house for a champagne reception.

We loaded in the equipment up the stairs and got set up before the guests arrived for dinner. Luckily for us Ed, our new sound man makes this alot easier.

Adrian and Rachel had very kindly organised for us to eat in the cafe / restaurant downstairs at the golf club. We had a fantastic meal which was certainly in our top five meals of the year at gigs. Thank you so much Adrian and Rachel, this was amazing! We knew we had to put on an even better performance after the fantastic meal!

Rachel and Adrian are big 1980s fans so we played lots of hits from the era including Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves, Footloose by Kenny Loggins, Bad by Michael Jackson. We also learnt how to play our version of “It must be love’ made famous by Madness. We played the UB40 version of Red Red Wine and it was great fun.

The guests were dancing all night, people of all ages were all over the dance floor.  At the much needed break the guests enjoyed an amazing firework display which was stunning.

Thank you so much to Rachel and Adrian for choosing The Zoots as their wedding band.
